Will meditation help us to be mentally stronger?

In my opinion, Meditation is one of the toughest training ones can get. Because it’s difficult, you will become stronger mentally. Sitting one hour and doing nothing is actually more difficult than doing something. So If we follow meditation, we can be mentally stronger. what do you think about meditation?
