Are you putting enough thought into your Meta Title & Descriptions tags? If not, you’re missing out. Yes, your meta description tag should describe your post. So what are points we need to consider when creating the meta descriptions? Can anyone suggest some ways?

The purpose of the Meta description is to get someone searching on Google to click your link. which means the meta description is an HTML attribute that provides a short summary of a web page or website. You have to follow the below things to write the best description.

  • Up to 155 characters and sometimes more (160) – Google recommends the meta description should be in 160 characters.
  • Including a call-to-action: This is helping to drive more traffic for that page.
  • Containing the focus keyword:   If you can add the main or focus keyword on your meta description, that will give the extra credit for the ranking.

Meta Title: Meta title tag is helping to the search engines understand, what your page is about. Most of the search engines recommend Meta titles to have 60 -70 characters. And also the main keyword should be included in the title because It’ll give extra credit for search engine ranking.

 Places of used title tags:
(1) search engine results pages
