It all depends on the Structured data, it is a system of matching a name with a value that helps to the search engines to categorize and index your page content. There are some different type of form available, Microdata is one of the forms of structured data that works with HTML5. Schema.org is a project, It provides a particular set of agreed-upon definitions for microdata tags.

Simply say, The MicroData is a set of tags, The tags should be in HTML format. this tag is sying to the search engine: “Hey search engine, this information describes this specific movie, or place, or person, or video” If you can add this code, it helps to SE understand your content and display the result in a right way on SERP. which means, the information can be displayed within the search engine’s results pages.

We can get all the details from Schema.org. It presents a collection of shared vocabularies and the webmasters can use to mark-up their pages in different ways that can be understood by the major search engines like Google, Microsoft, Yandex and Yahoo!

Hope you can understand! Please do let me know if you have any doubts!
