Yes, sure , You know one thing, it helps to drive the traffic for your webpage or article. It will impact your traffic, Especially if you provide any kind of ‘information’ through the content (which virtually all brands do to build authority and audience).

Yes, of course , Schema.org is rolling out the Speakable specification beyond the context of the News, it doesn’t mean that Google will use it. But it may integrate where the future of the Speakable attribute is headed.

Note: As voice search takes up a bigger piece of user activity, so this is the best way to users and SE approach the ideas of search is changing. we will see the massive of changing coming years.

What is the meaning of Speakable Markup? Why it’s important? please explain to me in a simple way.

Admin

Hi ,

A speakable markup is a form of structured data but here the highlight point is this structured data property is identifying the section within an article or web pages. This is not suitable for the entire pages, Only for the key points.  This new structured data markup will help you to get more traffic.

Hello Nigetha,

Can you please tell me how does Google Assistant choose specific content from a news article to read out loud?

Admin
on February 21, 2019

Hello ,

Google assistance is choosing the speakable content based on the algorithm, If anyone asks the topic related queries like “Hey Google, What’s the latest news on US Country?” From here, Google Assistant will read out the news aloud together with the source of the selection where it’s available with a trending one. Please keep in mind there are options provided by them. The system will be connected to your smartphone or tablet where the links are sent.

Hope you can understand, if you want to clarify anything, please let me know 🙂

Hello ,
This is an interesting topic and I have some doubt about this speakable markup. You mention that in the presentation, this markup is currently limited to News content. Why they limited to news content. If we search for text-to-speech conversion about non-related news content, how it will work?
any possible reason to limited to news content? please clarify this.

Hi

It is one of the important note that as of July of 2018, this speakable schema will only have an effect on news sites. Google already stated to clear that a website will have to be a part of the news publisher program to deliver the voice content using the speakable schema. Check it from here.

Thank you for an enlightening presentation.

I have one doubt.
Herewith I attached a speakable structured data sample code. I think the first XPath is placed here for the purpose of mentioning readable content (speakable property). why is the second XPath put on here?

Hello  ,

The “@type” should be in “SpeakableSpecification” and the next property is a “cssSelector” or “xpath”. it means the values that you set here to determine which text is selected to use by the Google Assistant that will help to readable the markup.

Here, the xpaths pull the title and meta description from earlier in the page.

If you have used this markup, you should do the same on your page if it is structured correctly, finally check this with Google’s structured data testing tool.

Hello ,

How to implement the speakable markup in our SEO strategy plans?

Could you please give me some advice or tips?

Admin

Sure ,

Speakable is a schema, The google assistant distributes the sections of content that would be suitable for when the user asks any queries (voice queries). They are using the TTS to read out the answers for the relevant queries. Here is the source to get to the TTS (Text to speech).

Please keep in your mind, The google Speakable markup is not going to change the world of SEO, it provides some key insights about the ways of SEO is going to change in the future. it will help us to prepare to use it to improve your SEO strategy.
