Hello ,

Take a look around you right now. You will notice that everything has been designed from how you sleep to how you eat and how you communicate. Everything around you has been designed by someone. In other words, User Experience Design or UX Design is everywhere from how you interact with your smartphone to how your home is designed. A landing page of a website also impacts by the UX design.

The landing page is a web page that prompt the visitors to take several actions. For example, click the call to action button. The landing page is different from the home page. Usually, the home page shows the business overview with a bunch of links that link to other pages. But, the landing page has fewer links with one or two primary CTA (Call to Action) button that wants visitors to complete a specific goal that depends on the business.
Note: The home page also can be a landing page.

Here I will give you some UX design Techniques for an effective landing page.

1. Provide Discreet Content.

  • The content that on your landing page must highlight your Unique Value Proposition.
  • Research says that, while a visitor visits one website, his mindset will change within every 8 seconds. So you have approximately 8 seconds to convince your visitor that your offer or service is worth.
  • Don’t use unnecessary information. That can overwhelm the visitors and make them leave the page immediately.
  • Speak to your audience using plain language.

I mention below are the highest converting text elements.

  • Heading

The heading is the first text element that your visitors see. So use your heading that clearly states your biggest benefits that your service or product offer.

  • Sub Heading

Most of the effective landing pages using their subheading to express their UVP. That will help visitors to understand what would this page provide.

  • CTA

You have to provide clickable Call To Action buttons that encourage visitors to purchase, sign in or do something else. You have to avoid the distraction when clicking the CTA. And also you have to give visitors what they were promised in the ad that got them there.

2. Visual Simplicity
You want to use a simple whitespace layout. that focuses visitors on CTA by isolating them from other elements.

3. Provide Alluring Imagery
A great landing page starts with great media. So use clear and quality images and videos on your landing page that related to the CTA and your content.

4. The importance of color.
Colors are a big part of the design. Research shows that colors are the big influence on our psychology on the way we feel and act. Use simple and cool colors to your landing page that will help your visitors spend more time on your landing page.

5. Landing page responsive design
We have to give the experience to the users same as a desktop while they are using mobile phones. Nowadays most of the visitors or users using their mobile phone to browse whatever they want. For that our landing page should be responsive.
